At Grabull we have prioritized our animal advocacy efforts following some focused and basic criteria. It makes sense to us to direct our resources where they can do the most good. We used a common framework of understanding the scale, tractability, and neglectedness of our causes and that is why we elected to support local no-kill animal shelters and animal abuse support services. In the difficult decision making process we undertook, we were determined to identify causes where meaningful progress could be made efficiently. It makes sense to avoid focusing on small problems, problems where we weren’t prepared to make progress, or problems that are already receiving so many resources that more wouldn’t be very helpful.
